I was asked to teach the game of Go. I haven’t done it in a long time, but one doesn’t grow out of old shoes. Lessons will take place on Tuesday, 13th October 2020, from 21:00, as part of the World’s Boards project, which is carried out by students from Sekcja Chińska Dalekowschodniego Koła Naukowego UJ with the help of Nausika Education Foundation.

In the photo – Master Hon’inbō Shūsai, one of the founders of modern Go culture in Japan, the main character of the book „Master of Go” by Japanese Nobel-prize winner Kawabata Yasunari. In the book, the fate of the characters intertwine with the arrangement of white and black stones on the board during a 3-month-long Go game, at the same time symbolizing the fall of the samurai system of values ​​and the dawn of the modern era.

The event is co-founded by European Solidarity Corps.

Zostałem poproszony o nauczanie gry w Go. Dawno już tego nie robiłem, ale nie wyrasta się ze starych butów. Lekcje odbędą się we wtorek 13 października 2020 od godziny 21:00 w ramach projektu World’s Boards, który przy pomocy Nausika Education Foundation realizują studenci z Sekcja Chińska Dalekowschodniego Koła Naukowego UJ.
