TIME TO LAND – Doughnut Economy Megagame
🌎 TIME TO LAND is a big-scale facilitated experience for up to 30 players who will either turn the human civilization back on sustainable track or dive even deeper towards social collapse.
.
💡 Complex economical phenomena are portrayed by simple decision steps in front of the players, mixing resource management with role-playing elements and task division. Creativity and out of the box thinking might be needed to succeed.
.
⌛ Time pressure and narrative dilemmas may raise up the emotions during around 90 minutes of the gameplay, which is later resolved by in-depth reflection, combining personal experience of the players and revealed strategic patterns with the principles of Doughnut Economics.
STATE OF DEVELOPMENT
.
Currently, the game was played 4 times and printed in two boxes, first is in Kraków, the second in Paris.
.
The game is ready to be played as long as the facilitators do it personally.
.
Upcoming runs of the Time to Land:
- Rabka-Zdrój (Poland), November 2025
- Herten (Germany), December 2025
- Kraków (Poland), March 2026

This is a non-profit initiative, we intend to make it accessible to educators and teaching institutions as soon as the game is ready and a proper form of publishing or licensing is developed. You are welcome to contact the Authors and join the team. The tasks may be impossible or infinite, but it will be fun on the way!
.
No grant project, no sponsor money, no institutional support was used to develop this content so far and we enjoy it being so!
.
The first prototype of the game was published as:
CRUSH OR CRUSH – The Doughnut Game
.
After following test runs we have decided to wait a bit longer, as the game is getting bigger and it seems no longer possible that someone who has not played it can just download the design docs and organize it
.
We are very open to contact and collaboration, please let us know if you want to play it when the next opportunity comes or invite Nausika to visit your event and run the game there!
