Time Dive is a project born from passion for the social history of our cities, aiming to unfold it through immersive narrative games which allow the players to dive into the culture-making moments of Kraków, Budapest and Prague.

The Games can be played by anyone who seeks creative fun with role-playing, but are aimed especially as tools of cultural education and integration, addressed for newcomers who want to understand the deeper identity of the cities by role-playing the founding moments which had shaped the cultural mindset of local people, get to know what is known by the locals born there, but absent from the guide books.

9 unique Scenarios were carefully crafted and tested by game designers and youthworkers together with public culture institutions. We are proud to deliver games of high value and quality, designed according to LARP and edu-larp principles, sometimes twisting the principles in search for new forms of artistic expression.

Plenty of effort was put into keeping the Games short (90-180 minutes) and accessible (5-8 players, minimum preparation), while a potential commercial use for conscious and sustainable tourism is also on the horizon.

All of our Scenarios can be accessed for free in print-and-play format, published on Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND license, available in English and in the local cities’ language.

RENAISSANCE ART OF MURDER
A ROLE-PLAYING GAME OF INTRIGUE, GOSSIP AND ELOQUENCE

1537, the Golden Age of Kraków. Bartolomeo Berecci, the Italian architect of Wawel Castle, was found dead on the Main Square. The king, furious about this scandal, invited a group of people to a confidential talk. Locked in a castle chamber, they must find the guilty person among themselves or submit to the king’s personal feeling of justice.

THE PRICE
A NARRATIVE GAME ABOUT THE DILEMMAS OF THE LATE XIX CENTURY

Zygmunt Wróblewski, a famous professor of the Jagiellonian University, died during work in his laboratory. A group of his colleagues carries out a private investigation, which unfolds the hard reality and social challenges of Kraków at the crash of the XIX century. They will soon find out that it’s not a riddle to solve, but a demanding story to tell, to their superiors as well as to themselves.

GRAND CAFÉ BUDAPEST
A STORY GAME WHERE HISTORY AND LITERATURE INTERTWINE!

In this short yet deeply immersive game, you will step into the roles of characters at the heart of Hungary’s tumultuous past, amid Budapest’s literary and artistic circles. The game takes place in the iconic Hadik Café, a hub of intellectual discourse and artistic meetings. Six players will explore three historical periods: the height of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, the onset of World War I, and the post-revolutionary era of the 1920s.

THE TENANTS
A ROLE-PLAYING GAME ABOUT QUARRELING NEIGHBORS
5-12 players | age 16+ | 45-120 minutes
You will take on the role of residents of apartments belonging to an old townhouse in the historic center of Kraków. You will meet during the annual meeting of the homeowner association to discuss the renovation fund, which will not be enough to satisfy everyone.
